At The Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, we are lucky enough to host an incredible variety of events throughout the year. From corporate fun days and festivals to weddings, charity events, team-building days and private celebrations, every event brings its own story, energy and purpose.
But every so often, an event comes along that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
The recent festival for pagans and witches was one of those events.
As Managing Director here at The Heart of England, I was genuinely delighted that we were able to support the organisers throughout the year and provide the setting for such a unique and meaningful festival. It was a pleasure to welcome such a passionate, creative and community-minded group of people to our venue, and even more rewarding to see the event go on to make such a positive difference.
The organisers have now confirmed that an incredible £36,000 profit from the festival has been distributed to charity.
That is a fantastic achievement, and everyone involved should feel extremely proud.
What makes this even more special is the range of charities and causes that have benefited. The money raised has been shared between organisations supporting animal rescue, women’s aid, youth empowerment, environmental projects and community initiatives.
The charities receiving a share of the profits include:
The Retreat Animal Rescue
West Mercia Women’s Aid
Florie’s Friends Rescue
Coventry Haven
Suki’s Canine Rescue
Little Hearts
Empowering Gwynedd’s Youth
The Sherbourne Valley Project
Wilders Waters Appeal
PeaceJam
For us, this is exactly what events should be about. Yes, they are about bringing people together, creating memorable experiences and making use of our wonderful 160-acre Warwickshire setting — but they can also be about something much bigger.
They can raise awareness. They can support important causes. They can create lasting impact long after the final visitor has left and the last marquee has come down.
That is why the phrase “Heart Has a Heart” feels so fitting.
We are proud to be called The Heart of England, but we are even prouder when our venue can play a small part in helping others. Supporting events that give back to the wider community is something we care deeply about, and this festival is a brilliant example of what can be achieved when organisers, visitors, stallholders, performers and venue teams all work together.
I would like to personally congratulate the festival organisers on such an outstanding result. Raising £36,000 is no small achievement, and distributing that money across so many worthwhile causes shows real generosity, commitment and community spirit.
I would also like to thank everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, performed, traded or helped bring the festival to life. Events like this do not happen by accident — they are the result of hard work, passion and belief.
From all of us at The Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, it was a pleasure to help, and we look forward to continuing to support events that bring people together for good reasons.
Because at the end of the day, The Heart of England is more than a venue.
It is a place where people gather, celebrate, connect and, sometimes, make a real difference.
