🌴 From Beach Dreams to Bold Business – 16 Years On
On 18 July 2009, our man-made beach officially opened in the Warwickshire countryside at Heart Park, Fillongley. With 1,500 tonnes of sand and 10,000 tonnes of sandstone rocks, it was a bold £1.4 million idea — part of a larger leisure attraction designed to bring coastal vibes inland.
The beach made waves… both with visitors and planning authorities.
⚖️ In the years that followed, planning battles raged, with retrospective permission refused due to green belt regulations. There were public inquiries, fines, and even talk of a “grass beach” comeback. But while the beach was gradually dismantled, the ambition behind it was not.
💡 What came next? Reinvention.
Today, 16 years on, that same patch of land has evolved into something remarkable — The Heart of England Conference & Events Centre, one of the UK’s most unique venues for corporate events, team building, and hospitality.
